Would the above dish fit in the above car (the Estate version)?!?

Or would I have to strap it to my roof bars ?

Don't think your get away without strapping it to the car roof.

Thread moved to a more appropriate section.

I was amazed when I managed to get 1.2m CM dish in the back of a Ford Fiesta, inserted via the back doors. You should have no problem with a Ford Focus.

I can get a 1.2m dish (137x125cm) in the back of my car (Zafira). I would have thought the opening on the Focus would be a similar size.

1.2m? Pfah!

I strapped a 1.8m dish to the roof of my car and took it 1000 miles through England and France. Face down on the roof rack it wasn't too bad at all.

Well I had a client that was moving to another house with a Famaval 2.4m dish. I took the dish down and we put it face down on his Nissan Primastar. He didn't have any proper straps to tie it on and even though I told him it wasn't good enough (he said it was ok cos that's the way it got there in the first place) he tied it on with string and hook-on bungee ties. The plan was I follow him to the new property and help him off with it. Anyway on the motorway near Benidorm going about 90km/h it came unclipped and took off like a big frizby. Luckily for him it went straight down over the edge of the motorway (wrecking itself in the process) rather than into the carriageway.

I'm slightly disappointed. I misread the thread and thought I was about to see a car mount!
