Hi --
Just documenting one of the sat projects i,v been working on during the summer ..
I,v had a Jaeger 1224 motor sitting unused since i bought it a couple of years ago ..
so decided to use it to replace the polar mount setup on the 1.2 c.m. this has worked well for me but is restricted a little by being too close to the roof .. especially to the west. so after lots of measuring etc decided that using the 1224 motor with the c.m. 1.2 inverted would give me a better arc and a bit less wind resistance. (its rather exposed up there)
Some studying, measuring , cutting, drilling , etc .. to make a mounting bracket with incline adjustment - mini jack .... and a bit of testing
before the final install and so far so good .... hope to set up all the sat positions available to me over this weekend.
