Planning laws here - if you put something up and the planners tell you to take it down and you dont - the council can come onto your property and remove it - then send you the bill for the work done!

Its all down to how tolerant the locals are - Ive got 9 dishes up atm but no-one round here cares (although they do think Im more than a bit crazy!).

Because, on the whole, British people are intolerant, nosey bastards who like nothing better than getting involved in something that doesn't really involve them or impact on their small lives in any way. The really brave ones won't actually say anything face to face but will write to the local council/government office to report anything they feel they may be able to stir trouble over.
 
I wouldnt say "on the whole", but i agree with the basis of what your are saying.
 
The thing is the guy next door works for the county council so i dont want to P.. him of. So i can get a 90cm up on motor & he carnt see it. Had trouble hiding the 1.2 dish

They must know by now that you're a bit crazy :)
Surely the dish garden, and the tyre supports, gave you away !!!!!!!!

Sorry that you've been forced to get rid of the CM 1.2M, personally I can't see what harm it does to your neighbours.
 
In seems a shame to get rid of the polar mount, theres nothing more solid. could you not just change the dish to 1m or even 90cm (channelmaster) to keep within regulations. I have a 1m dish in reserve just in case of neighbour problems.
 
i am not sure how this planning permission works, if i want to put a garage up thats sectional, theres noting anyone can do no planning permission needed,

so if your dish is fixed like mine so it can be taken down without digging etc, i cant see what they can do,

if i put my dish on the floor and it was not in use, what could they do ?, if they could do something there splitting hairs,

something fixed to a building i do understand.

i also find it strange how peeps can complaine when youve not even put things in place ?

certainly a good selling ploy you have imho :-), but the setup will sell itself and a snip at that price ;-).
 
Wot happened I spoke to the guy next door & he said he wasn't happy about the dish being put down the garden cause it blocks sun light to his green house. When I said to him can you move your green house thats when he got a bit funny. Selfish bastard I think.
So this I why ive got to go to a smaller setup.
Wot sort of price do you think m8

Update,, Got the dish today just got to get it tracked in & buy a receiver.
