My Satellite Setup
Channel Master 1.8M on Edision MIO 4K & GTMEDIA Combo, and CM1.2M on Octagon SF8008
My Location
Kent, UK
i remember someone on here saying that the LNB arms on a 1.2m are too long for ideal LNB placement.

i was thinking would the LNB arms from a 1m or a 90cm CM work better?
 
I don't think the arms from a smaller Channel Master would work. Here is a photo RimaNTSS made showing the calculated optimal LNB position and aiming:
