A few bad gust here J, she was moving a little bit but nothing to call anything, the other night it was slightly worse and i was still maintaining an intermittent lock on the hard to get 36E channels, i do need to install some turn buckles and a few guy-wires just to take that little bit of movement out:), something like this :).

Yep, i think if it was mine i would feel a bit happier doing that, even think about a safety chain / wire on the actual dish itself in case it decided to detach itself from the pole  ...... i always feather mine side ways on to the offending winds as well if i am able to. Just contemplating wether to go outside and unchain her, i'll just check the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow first lol.

I guess it would not go a miss to fit a chain pal, but it is built like a brick S house, the winch rope could be attached to the dish in seconds if i was concerned :)

.... I'm paranoid, i was definitely in need of a change of undies when it wreaked havoc with me lol. Checked the forecast and we are not expecting anything serious in the next day or so .... 40mph max from Saturday night through to Sunday afternoon so will wind her back up again and need to check a frequency for a chap at 55.5West, 3894H, 3617, SIS used frequency in PowerVu .... are you able to see that ??

.... completed rear of dish side arm support bracing today and with only the slightest tension on both side rods pulled the dish back enough to eliminate completely the 2mm stringing gap that was present before the bracing mod. Although the green string line looks like 5mm thick rope, it's actually only just about 1mm thick :)

Couldn't tell you yet, the dish is undertaking a Trust1 lnb changer mod as well, which is altering all the support structure front and back of the dish face. More work to do with lnb holders as well.

Good stuff John glad its sorted :).

You would have thought that with the thickness of the fibre glass and the amount of ribbing these dishes have on them that it wouldn't budge, but surprisingly didn't take much tension on the nuts, Ooo-err , to loose the 2mm gap i had

Yes pal it does not take much, you only need to look at a good quality rx/tx dish to see what they do, the bottom main holding arm should not be connected to the dish this should come from the mount,

Great work what your all doing with the revolver :) take a look here it might give you some ideas good luck and keep up the good work :).
