Channel Master 1m

Got my hands on a Channel Master 1m used for Tooway internet there was damage to the outer rim of the dish and face.

Did a repair with polyester fibreglass filler from Halfords, spray painted the rim with Ford Polar Grey also from Halfords.

It will need a little bit of touching up on the face of the dish when I can find a more matched colour.

Currently set at 30w but looking to find 24.5w or 37.5w when weather is better.

Very good. Those CM stands are very versatile, mine's been used for various dishes over many years.

Thanks all, I've found 24.5w now, signal level on the Horizontal transponder is about 7% better and the Vertical transponder is 3% better than on the Gibertini 104cm

Comparison photos on the same receiver of the Channel Master 1m with an Inverto Quad C120 and Gibertini 104cm with Invacom Dual LNB.

Will add photos when I've added an extra LNB for 30w

Nice rendering of the project progression.

I have a CM 180 cm that has some wear in one part of the edge.
I was actually just going to paint it, but now I am thinking perhaps covering the exposed metal mesh first (very little, but nevertheless).

Also thanks for confirming the painting work - do let us know how it sticks.
I've had heated debates with paint-store sales people as well as painters about what to use.
Many say that nothing will stick properly, so I'll be happy to hear them proved wrong! (Fair to say that the experts on this forim, of course, pointed me to the auto-paint immediately!)

All cabled up and 30w lnb added. Used a locking butter box till another water proof diseqc switch arrives off eBay.

I just got myself the same 1m channel master dish, tooway aswell.
It was only a year old hardly a mark on it, feedhorn and mount attached, all for 50 euro, bargain.

I am also looking to get another one too for cheap.
