Hi all

I have 1.2 m channel master dish with cm polarmount model 6033 and geotrack actuator motor 18inch .

can you please guide me how to install it , because i am trying with no results.

i live in ireland dublin , dish is at back of garden on straight pole .

i got few satellites thor , serius, 5w, 8w, but hardly east satellite , they com and go , i played with latitude setting and lost setting .

best way to stard , do you open jack motor fully , or turn dish manually with no motor ?
how to center dish , you use inclometer ?

when t turn dish to west or east with v-box , hall dish turns down at limit , is it normal , meaning doesnt turn straight .

please full guide

Go into dishpointer.com and type in your location and choose 5w as the satellite and make a note of the longitude ( 6.27 W ) Latitude ( 53.34 N ) and note the elevation (29 degrees)

Assuming you have bolted the polar mount together all in accordance with the detailed instructions and have followed the basics ..... Good Location - Solid vertical pole, zero skew on the lnb ... and mounted it on the pole facing roughly due south..

Set the polar mount declination to 53.34 Latitude (not elevation!) and tighten properly up as per instructions.
Nudge the polar mount actuator to 1.27 w (not zero) and leave it there for now. (you are 1.27 west of 5w ...your nearest strong (central) satellite..... (the dial on your polar mount will always show 6.27 out))

(estimate as accurately as possible for parts of a degree- it pays later)

Insert both latitude and longitude in your set top box.
Select 5w and TP 11591v 20,000 (France 2 if it's already in)

Now moving only the polar mount around on the main pole and the elevation adjustment 'of the dish' until you find 5w and the above TP... get the best signal and tighten both the polar mount on the pole and elevation on the dish and store the diseqc or 36v location for 5w.

Now fine adjust the lnb (in and out) for best focus - (skew should be OK).

If your pole is vertical and solid you should be able to set up all satellites 45e to 45w (depending on obstacles...** and the arc limit on the polar mount/ actuator )... (use the strongest signals list elsewhere on this forum and/or make sure the TP or channel you use to find each satellite is still active)

You can use the shortcut calculation between your most distant east....west sats ....as per the docs on your stb.... to save time.

check and fine tune the arc later.
