Very windy there at the moment - dish wobbling about a bit but signal seems stable. Damn westerlies...

With the Moteck and Technomate versions of a v-box I normally get around 11 pulses per degree with a Jaeger 1224. With the SuperJack version of the v-box I get 40 pulses per degree with the Jaeger 1224.
Yes, same with Alsat - get a higher pulse count per degree than with TM one. It's because the Alsat ones detect the rising as well as the falling pulses as opposed to just rising.

As I am still waiting for my 4/1 DiSEqC switch, I pulled the depolariser plate out for those linear C band satellites.

55W was pulled in with ease. BS on Vu+ Solo2 pulled in 115 services from 31 transponders - mostly in the higher band. Deaf Tit on lower frequencies?
58W - 19 transponders BSed, 129 services (mostly encrypted :(). An improvement over the 1.5m Gibby, which only managed 3 transponders.
38E - Paksat - 6 transponders. weak but there

@nelson_b if you have some transponder you'd like me to try out, let me know - it will be good to compare performance too. I suspect I will get slightly better results once @Trust1 makes the LNB rotator since the LNBs will be at focus. At the moment, each one is around 4.5-5 degrees off-centre.

Thanks C.J.
I will check out what the signals are like from 38 E Paksat on the 1.8 C.M. during the day tomorrow ... if i get time ... i need to swap the (BSC 421) back onto that dish , now that the prodelin 3m has been taken down .
the signals from 38 e have always been borderline and very variable on 1.8 c.m. here in the north west.

Got it - 5dB on Vu's meter. Again, weak but stable picture.

My PC card is locking that at 4.7dB but the Vu+ isn't seeing it. Looks like our signal levels are very similar on 38E.

Yes pretty much the same .. your Laminas 1.8 is performing well :) .... 38 east is tricky to catch .. and unpredictable sometimes ....

But I now realise that the Solo2's tuner isn't as sensitive as the TBS5922's one. Or F15's...

Nah, I'll keep it, though annoyed that Uno's tuner is better than Solo2's.... Uno was sometimes better than F15!

I've got Uno, Ultimo, Solo 4K, Solo2, Duo, LX3, TM Twin, TM Single. For me the Solo2 tuner is the best of the bunch, and for blind scan miles better than the slot-in tuners.

Sadly, I don't have the Uno to test this particular transponder. Perhaps @scopus can check?

I would CJ, but only have my C Band LNB set up for circular. 38E is linear. I must try and get a second C band on the changer. The Uno tuner is good, receives the Ka stuff off 19E no problem.

Tuner is reasonable for DTH, but not good with borderline signals or low symbol rates.
