I have a rather tired and rusty polar mount for a CM 1 or 1.2 and have someone who can sand blast it for me and I guess I can then cover it in hammerite?
If I want to keep the channel master stickers on the side do I need a heat gun to remove them intact?

One option might be to check on eBay for local sand blasting surfaces?
Or, google for sand blasting service locally.

Often, suppliers offering sand blasting can offer a coating service as well such as primer and top coat.

Hammerite works best on rusty surfaces, primer and good quality metal paint/ galvanise paint is an option you could do yourself if you had the funds you could get it galvanised or for a painted finish get it powder coated.
