Im staying away from anything coming from Scotland this year - the output is universally dreadful, and Jackie Bird always looks like shes wearing a spud sack.

Sky News should have decent firework coverage, the BBC has disappointed over the last few years.

If we go 2 hours in the past, if someone's interested, here's LTV1 coverage of last minute in 2011 and first minutes in 2012.
Countdown followed by anthem, then fireworks. LTV has put some effort in anthem's "video" - it contains famous Latvian people and sportsmen. Usually it's just the nature. Last year LTV didn't showed national anthem at all and many people complained about it.

Ach its fun hexah.

For many years I absolutely hated NYE - either I got pi55ed at home or I went out down the local pub and got pi55ed as I was maudlin about the end of the year.

Doing this takes my mind off things and I have a great time seeing what folks can find. Carol my other half always loves seeing what I can find on the telly this year - we have 2 tellys running most of the day with different channels on them! Tomorrow I will reread the thread from start to finish and get my screen grabs up to date on the fb link.

Ive deliberately chosen some off beat channels this year - Chisinau at 22 & Mali at 00 just to see what happened

I'll carry on doing this as long as theres any interest in it & as long as Im at home in front of the satellite kit!
