Chasing Midnight New Years Eve 2017

37MPH atm in Yorkshire,hopefully the winds should reduce to 22MPH,by midnight,as forecast.

My Hotbird dish has been storm battered already - its shifted somewhat and Ive only got intermittent signals on the stronger tp's..... Coffee then I shall dash outside & see if I can fix it in the middle of the storm.......

Situation improved with some botch job bracing. It will have to do until the wind eases off. We have gusts nudging 50mph according to the met office site.
 
Don't think I'll have any chance in picking up any feeds/weak TPs this year. Heavy Rain scheduled down this way from 1pm all the way through till tomorrow morning :angry:

Think it'll have to be 13E & 19.2E only for me this year.
 
No family fireworks on Al Jazeera Mubasher this year. Actually would not be surprised if many midnights will get bumped on this channel due to turmoil across the Gulf. They sure don't feel like showing raw feeds at the moment.

Currently locked into the reuters feed awaiting NZ

Morning all! Just had to fix my 7e dish, lovely storm swung it round 180 degrees! Whoops. All good to go now though.

Using Reuters is cheating!

Though last year I went to 22w on New Years Day and my RX suddenly went haywire and took an hour to fix. So I am not going to chance it.

Not long to go, the excitement is mounting . . . pee-pee is rolling down my leg . . . :eek::p
