Hi guys, hope everybody had fun . I was flicking around the 5E channels new years evening & TVGE (Eq Guinea) had a repeat of their output from 24 hours previously!

Thats it for NYE 2023, I'll leave the thread open for a while for any observations or comments, but with any luck we will all meet here again at the end of December 2024

I think this is my 20th chasing midnight. When I first started barely just gotten broadband in my area and now can happily watch all the big events on the internet with ease on a device that fits in my hand.

TeleSUR 13e is now in HD. No fireworks, just a nativity scene and a large Christmas tree.

Captions with C and Ku band parameters and with a satellite in orbit.

Cubavision International 19e is now in HD. The country is famous for its music and the party before and after the traditional gun salute was good. The guns looked much better in h264 compared to the previous noise fest of mpeg (but only 21 bangs were shown, not all 24!). The video of farming and industry was followed by a rousing song sung by some children pretending to do various jobs. No matter how bad the economy is it is still far far better than Haiti...

lol - omg - i think its a youth\young thing....

i never bother recording live events now if i'm in attendance, just record \ wait \ watch the TV coverage - much better than you mobile phone
