My Satellite Setup
80cm dish
My Location
Madrid
Hii,
A few years ago I set up a dish at home in Seville, Spain pointing to the Astra 2D, (I think it was) and managed to receive all of the BBC channels, ITVs, channel 4s etc... I used a 1,35m dish. It was kind of a coincidence that at the shop where I bought the dish a friendly English man helped me out and lent me his satellite meter, which was similar to this:

With this I managed to tune and fit the satellite dish correctly and up until today everything works fine.
The problem is, that I moved some time ago to Madrid, where I miss my English tv. In Seville I used to live in a house, where I could set up my dish with no problem, but in Madrid, I rent and live in a not so friendly area so I don’t feel that comfortable leaving a 200+ Euros satellite dish installed. Also as I rent I really don’t have a place to install it as it requires a proper strong support, as I have in Seville.
So what I did in the end was install a 80cm dish and point it to the hispasat where I can watch at least Sky News.
As I am quite desperate I started looking into how to get my Seville satellite signal from Seville all the way to Madrid over the internet,... this is how I found out about:

But it doesn’t convince as it seems a bit of a hassle, also reading on their forums there seem to be so many complaints.
I’ve started to consider investing in one of these satellite meters, similar to the link above, I remember it worked like charm when I installed my dish in Seville, I know people mention that a 1.35+ dish is required for Madrid, but I was hoping if I could use one of these meters I could at least get BBC1 and one of the ITVS.
Could somebody recommend a good/cheap satellite meter? Or other alternatives in how I could get my signal from seville to madrid... (yes mad question)...
Thanks
