Hi all. I currently have sky, but i'm looking at getting an extra lnb fitted do i can receive 19.2 degrees east as well. I want to get a receiver which i can switch between sky and 19.2.. am i right in guessing i need a twin tuner for this? If so, what is the cheapest, most reliable receiver?I was looking at an openbox, but i don't think they do twin tuners.Or is there a way of plugging the cable from both lnb's in a single tuner( through a switch or something ) ?Thx for you help

If you want to watch sky and other satellites on the same box, your main priority is finding a box which will read the Sky card, but whatever you go for, it will not be as user friendly as your Sky HD box for recording etc.

You're better off getting a cheap Free To Air receiver for 19.2E only.

Or as you (most likely ) have a quad LNB fited on the dish, use the FTA receiver in conjunction with a DiSEqC switch for both positions.

Oh ok. So a diseqc switch has facilities for compisite in from each of the lnb's which goes into a single tuner allowing you to switch between them? Would an openbox be ok for what i want then?

If it has DiSEqC switching (1.0) then it will work. Your biggest problem will be getting a 19.2 LNB to fit on a S ky dish.

You're a legend. Thx mate. Just wondering how difficult it'll be to set the box up for it m.
