hey guys, some of you may have seen the other thread re ARC at 53, but this matter of CR at 45w - was probably being missed due to the name of the thread, so thought id start a new one dedicated to it.

this isnt because i WANT chinese radio, more to do with the fact that i know my dish \ setup should get it, so it annoys me that i cant.

for those of you that can reach 45w - are you able to pull in china radio (Radio channels) - my ARC can go from 53e (12db) to 34.5w (20db) - i can also pick up weird BEAM type TPs on 53w and 63w - so I beleive my ARC to be good (it may not be) - however, 45w, seems to just totally elude me

another member on here, has the same, so im not alone - whats the trick...

any ideas...

thank you!

that is very interesting indeed....its interesting because I can lock onto one of those TPs at 10.8 db - its the 11548.760 - V - 34281

although my receiver shows 11550 - V - 34286

however, nothing for 11604 - H - 989

very very odd!

Can your receiver actually cope with sub 1k Symbol Rate?

@manikm909

Have you tried several different receivers on the China Radio transponder to see if one specific receiver tuner type can lock it?

Also, are you blind scanning for the frequency or manually inputting the parameters?
Some receivers may have an issue with missing low SR frequencies on a blind scan but readily locking them on a manual parameter input scan.

With your Edision OS mio 4k+ if you do a transponder scan then stop it before it proceeds on to the channel scan, is China Radio listed as a found transponder.
Sometimes with those mio's I have noticed that they scan in a transponder but subsequently fail to lock it on a channel scan.

If you have access to an older receiver such as a Dr HD F15 or a TM-5402 it would be interesting to see if they would lock it?

Both the SF8008 and the mio are E2 recevers and rely on the E2 blind scan plugin and the E2 manual scan.
The logic for testing with a receiver such as a Dr HD F15, or TM-5402 is to try it with something that is completely non E2.

As did the SX88 yesterday:D
PS: looks like there are more than a few "hidden" differences between the older SX88 and the 4K version.

As Lazarus' Edision Primo can do it then the SX88 can as well.

I had the SX88 + and used to get the China Radio no problem, then upgraded to the SX88 4K and no luck on them. Also I did mention this before in another post, but was not able to get the Joy FM, Metro FM radio etc on Turksat, to the point I even emailed Lyngsat, it was tested and the radio is coming in loud and clear according to Lyngsat. These receivers seem to struggle with them low symbol rates. Am I missing the China stations?, no but as Manikm909 mentioned it’s more so I should get them but can’t. If older receivers can pick these things up why can’t the new ones!?
