Hi, I wonder if anyone can answer this.....I have one of these chineese meters and having scanned, for example, Badr 26E, transponder 7, 11843 V(according to Lyngsat) shows on the meter as having a frequency of 3056. Please explain why the frequency figures differ. I believe it may be the SID that the meter is showing and if so where can I find these listed. Another example is frquency 11785 V which is shown as 3113 on the meter.

I am lost, can you help ?:confused

You need to set the local oscillator correctly on the meter, set to universal LNB.

The lists on Lyngsat.com includes all PIDs next to the frequencies.

rolfw, many thanks for taking the time to reply. I have tried to change the LNB figures from the meters standard which is 05150/05150 to that stated on the universal lnb label which I recall as being 850/1700 but when I do the meter states that incorrect data has been entered.
Got any ideas?

Thanks Channel Hopper, I have looked at the Lynsat and King of sat sites and have identified the Vpid and Apid values as being the same on the meter. Both sites refer to the SID but none of the figures match those as mentioned in my original post to this thread.

Tivu, Of course you are correct, My point is that whatever I change the values to the meter will not accept it. The starting values are 05150/05150
and whilst scanning Badr 26E it shows TP2 as having a frequency of 3056. Does this make any sense to you?

Sorry, no sense at all -- but then I've been at the Annual Village bunfight this afternoon and am barely able to concentrate right now.

Appears to be locked in C-Band mode, is there a setting to change it to Ku Band?

Have you got any instructions with the meter, can you possibly take some photos of the screens and upload them?

hello,
there should be ku band and c band as well.
the meter should have a menu and instruction book in english.
lo for europe is universal 9.750/10.600 were as usa is 10.700.
if this came from china it should have a menu were one can change the option.
what is the name and model of the meter???

May I take this opportunity to thanks all the members who have responded and those who didn't. I have tried various figures to no avail and have researched the internet and found mathmatical permutations that would have made Einstein go boss eyed. L.O.L. And what do you know all that was needed was to switch on the 22K thingy on the meters set up screen.!!!!!!!
Makes you wonder why the option should have been to turn it off !!??!!
I am now sorted.

END OF.

Result, although the frequencies quoted in post 1 do not tie in with just simply having the tone switched off :)

So once you'd switched on the 22Khz, it would accept the 9750/10600 setting?

easy to understand guys.
LO :9750 if frequency is 11700 or lower this is low band and 22khz needs to be off
LO :10600 if frequency is higher than 11700 this is high band and needs 22khz switched on

Would you care to explain how your answer allows the analyser to deal with both Ku and c-band IF frequencies ?

Anyway, that switch might have been mis-named or has a dual purpose. It is an advantage to have a switch to change from C-band to KU-band,rather than going through the menu like my satlook
