Christmas films?

Not overly impressed with the christmas selection on UK TV this year I have to say, with repeats of The Chase & Saturday Kitchen shown this morning on BBC 1 & ITV. I had a brief look on Astra 1 and saw both Home Alone 1 & 2 on Puls 4, sadly dubbed though.

Anyone spotted any festive films on any of the birds, particularly not dubbed? :D
 
The definitive "Santa Claus the movie" was on the Irish channel 3e yesterday but its been on no where else including the $ly movie channels, even their Xmas one has been showing all the Tim Allen ones "The Santa clause" and its follow ups. A very disappointing show by the BBC & ITV ect. The only thing I'm wanting to see is the new Sherlock series (probs about 4 ep's tops) on BBC 1 and that's it.
 
The hilarious A Christmas Story was on Channel 5 on Thursday hidden away at 2ish PM. I love that movie, especially how real the parents are.

Just watched the original trailer of said film on YouTube, never seen it in my puff.
 
ITV always used to show the truly awful (in my opinion) "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation", I hate all those Chevy Chase outing films, the best film with " National Lampoons " in the title is Animal House, but that's no family film! lol

Christmas Vacation was on at the start of the week.
Was Chase in Animal House ?
Caddyshack was one of his best

No, but he seemed to be in all those vacation films.
 
There should be plenty of interesting shows from Germany and Switzerland.
Unfortunately for me, a lot of channels from Astra 19.2E are not receivable here, only 1M
 
If you have now TV there's a couple of codes to get two months free movies.

Very true mate, it is, but Ch4 ruined it by showing it back in October for some reason.
 
Agree. Nothing to watch this year though we did watch Jingle All The Way and the Polar Express last night...
 
Madagascar Penguins yesterday was fun
 
VIP TV on 16E is showing Christmas films all day. Home Alone now followed by the sequel.
