Good luck. The 1224 can be a pain to take apart but will last a long time with a bit of tlc

Very nice.
Even if the Jaeger doesn't come back to life, the CM120 will provide good reception even if mounted on something else.

As for the dish, get a hard scrubbing brush, put the bolts through dish, face it like a bird bath use washing powder and scrub, it will come up like new,

The motor hardest part will be removing the pin/plus they might be some play there, also bolts that hold top plate might/will be a problem, but first things first apply some power and make sure it works,

If it does and you have no play at the pin, I would grease cogs up, give it a quick rub down tin of spray and use it until it stops then strip it down. removing the top and plate usually creates problems.

No, some CMs where made in the UK I believe, possibly also elsewhere.
But I have been told by CM that there was only ever one mold for the 1.8, so it is bound to be made in the US (where the mold apparently still is).

The dish and motor have cleaned up well, it looks like a good job you have done there.
How was the motor, was there any play in it or was it OK. If I recall correctly there are a couple of allen screw heads inside the casing that can be adjusted to adjust any play.

Try to clean your 1.8m dish as you've done to 1.2m one and then the badge will be noticed as well. :-rofl2

moonbase, only setup on Thor yesterday, havn't tried the moving yet. The old decrepid Lnb that was attached(first set of pictures post1) brought in 840 channels the same as a black ultra!!!!!
RimaNTSS, I will do as you say, but in 10 years have never noticed a badge.
On the motor I used the elevation bolt to get the signal, but where the motor attaches at the top of the dish it is slotted, does the use of the elevation bolt make this slotted angle correct?

There are two bolt adjustments on the motor. The larger bolt, below the motor casing is used to set the elevation angle. The smaller bolt on the top plate above the motor casing is used to set the declination ofset angle which gets it to accurately track the satellite arc.
