If anybody has a clear dish, would they mind posting a picture please.

I would like to see how 'invisible' they actually are.

Have a look on the Satellite Superstore site, they have a picture on the fixed dish page, but the dish has been discontinued..
 
I’ve seen those, but I assume they’re taken from the ‘best’ angles.

So I was after a couple from a few different angles.

A clear dish would not work too good, the signals have to have something to bounce off to get to the LNB(s), if the dish was clear enough to see through then the RF signals would also pass through.

If you have a problem with a location that does not allow satellite dishes then try this place.

The better you hide it, the less problems you may have.

Transparent dishes are commonplace in Europe.

They incorporate a "transparent metallic film" in order to form the necessary reflective surface and are perfectly adequate for reception from the main European Satellites.

Of course, the crux of the matter is exactly what Transparent means.
 
I've got one and it is not really very transparent, you can clearly see there's a dish there and even more so now it's been up fo a long while. It has an embedded wire mesh.
 
Headlight restorer or cheap toothpaste and elbow grease might help bring back the transparency.
