well after sorting out my box from a previous thread i was watching tv today and a message came up saying warning cloned box adios amigo and now it is well and truly dead:eek:
I did flash it the other day but obvious it was wrong image as it worked ok for a few days but when i bought the box they said it was an original but obviously it wasnt,i bought it from dreambox magic late in 2007,is there a fix out there or will i have to buy another box
 
Thanks but im not that very clever up top when it comes to things like that unless i have seen it done:confused:
If theres anyone out there who can repair it i will be willing to pay

Not something I would know how to do but I am sure there must be sat shops near you who know about dreamboxes.
 
As far as i know they can be jtagged using a CAS3 interface in much the same way as a DM7000 :toke:

If you do get it fixed make sure you stay clear of any Gemini team Image in the future.

The Gemini scumbags have a program in their images which deletes the bootloader form the flash chip in any box it decides is not genuine. This basically bricks the box :eek:

Which image were you running on the box, I'm guessing it was Gemini :mad:

I've been there so i know how you feel, this is why i refuse to buy any Dream Multimedia Products anymore. As soon as my DM600 dies, that will be the last DM unit i will own :-away

I now also refuse to use Gemini images :D

I now use SIF images which are just as good and just as stable as Gemini. Its also not as boring as the Gemini image :-WooHoo

I have just found out that the person who i card share from fixes them very cheap so if theres anyone out there with the same prob PM me and i will give you his addy :-worship
