Comag porty II remote problem

I've a problem with the remote from a comag porty II satellite receiver
interfering with the flat screen tv it's hooked up to. For example when using the down arrow button on comag remote, it changes the tv from scart input to tv input. Quite a few other buttons have a similar effect. This makes using the satellite on screen menus v-tricky!
Tv is an akura 15.6" tv / DVD combo, and both are installed in my motorhome.
Is it possible to change the remote in some way to avoid this?

Probably not Nick, I have the same problem with the remote for my ABTUS HDMI switcher, it changes the channel on my 7" CCTV monitor.
