Groundbreaking US comedian Richard Pryor has died at the age of 65 after a long illness.

He died of a heart attack at his home in California's San Fernando Valley, according to his ex-wife, Flyn Pryor.

Yes, saw a picture of him in a wheelchair recently, barely recognisable from his old self. Not long for this world, I reckoned.

That said let his demise be a lesson to us all, too much coke and booze will not leave you long on this planet

I don't think MS is caused or exacerbated by coke or booze. It's a nasty debilitating disease where the body starts attacking itself.

At least he's at peace now.
