Hi Guys

Hope this is the correct place for this.

An electrical company has asked me to install a 36 point IRS system, but have asked can I supply a certificate at the end? What should the certificate conatin and how should it be laid out?

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Hi,

Moved your post from an unrelated thread and retitled.

The electrical company are most probably asking for a completion certificate, system performance and safety.

Please note this section is for domestic discussion only.

Normally the completion certificate wouldn't be the first thing asked, in contracting out they normally request a company background (sometimes a mission statement) and checks on liability insurance etc.

(Btw how did this electrical company find you from the hundreds of other installers in the area ?)

Then there would be the quotation following your site survey visit, a method statement and even some detail of the materials used and their electrical / signal performance.

Lastly you might be expected to provide spectrum outputs which would be kept on record for future maintenance or extended warranty agreements.

Sorry, have closed the thread. We are a hobby forum and for several reasons commercial systems are not covered here. If you need to ask questions like this, then you may not have the appropriate experience and sufficient public liability insurance to safely install an IRS to an apartment building.
