Config for white card in DM800

Hi all,

I'd be grateful for some help setting up my DM800 'Chinese import model' that I received during the week, as I've hit a problem.

I've been using my old blue card (world pack, no sports or movies) in my DM800 for the past few days and it works fine, but when switching over to use the white card I'm only getting the FTA channels, so no Sky 1, Dave, MTV, etc...

I put the white card in the old digibox I used to use and got the box serial number (0115xxxxxx). I then used various tools to generate what should be the 8 digit hex value to put in /var/tuxbox/config/newcs.xml, and also set the 'blocksa', 'blockua' and 'blockga' values to 'Yes'. I did this for both the 'upper card reader' and the 'lower' devices.

I then edited /var/etc/CCcam.cfg and added the following line:

N: 127.0.0.1 10000 newcs newcs 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 1 4

I uploaded them both to the DM800 and rebooted the box, but I still don't get any of the subscription channels.

Have I missed something out? What's the best way to create the boxkey, as different sites tell me different things which give different values.

Fixed it..... didn't realise that I'd not enabled CCcam & NewCS, it was still using the default one. Switched to that in the menu via the blue button and it works now.

You shouldn't be everyone has to learn
 
I've just purchased a DM800 HD box to use with my Irish white card.

As I understand it CCCam will read the card no problem. Does it also update the card or should I use another emulator to do that? I don't want to keep slotting the card back into its original zapper box every week.

I may well purchase the Omnikey usb reader but will probably use the internal card reader first.
 
i am a total noob and am really struggling with sly and the internal card reader!

can any 1 shed some light on this!

i know cccam alone cant decode it

i am using (or trying to) newcs 1.66

when running via telnet all i get is

cam logs deleted - admin

what does the last line mean
ie SCI returned .......

i dont think its reading the cards!

tried my blue and white card in!!!

any help appreciated :)

Crusty, CCcam will NOT read your White card. You need the NewCs/CCcam combo. B16MCC has a config Generator to take al the hard work out of it. If your Using a Nabilo Image they have just added the NewCs_167/CCCam 2.12 combo to their server. This is for the internal reader and only reqiures you to alter the ip address to your own. Totalacedude you could try the same

Almost correct tom, you actually only have to add your boxkey.
I have tested this on 4 fresh installs and it works perfectly.;)

No that will not update the card, I have managed to get EMM through using Mgcamd.

I will try and get Mgcamd with 1.67 on the Nabilo server over the weekend.;)
 
As mentioned, MGCamd will update the card. My config creator will cover this config too.
 
right!!!

am still having problems, but have located it down to newcs i think

looking on port 8080 i can see my blue card, ie caid 0961, but insert white card and it comes up greeen with a tick but caid of 0000

any ideas why???

noob gettin frustrated here lol

Looking forward to seeing the NewCS 1.67 and MgCamd 1.30d combo on the Nabilosat E2 server soon. Which program should I use to generate the boxkey? The NDS Boxkey Generator and the Config Manager generate two different hex codes from the same key...
 
totalacedude:- Most likely a boxkey issue.

Crusty Burke:- Use the Dreambox Config Creator v0.7.0 , found in my blog.

Hi, from what you say then you should have newcs/cccam and mgcamd on the dreambox. Normal operation will be with newcs/cccam. What I expect is that you should then activate mgcamd once in a while to get the update. How often do you recommend running mgcamd and for how long
 
hi all, i used the info in this post to get myself up and running, so a big thanks....I have still a small problem though, that i would appreciate some help on.

I have cccam 2.12/newcs on nabilosat .12 on a dm800hd

I have a wh.te card with a few packages subscribed
I have Server A (hope 1) for remainder packages in SD
I have Server B (hope 2) for remainder packages in HD

functions as;
- the subscribed HD channels correctly link to the wh.te card
- both subscribed and unsubscribed SD goto Server A
- unsubscribed HD goto Server B

problem is;
- the SD subscribed channels are going to Server A instead of local card

why is this so? i want it to work like the HD channels. locally resolved where possible.

help appreciated.
