My Satellite Setup
echostar ad3000ipva and LIDL SL65 on a Wavefrontier t55. Long live analogue sparkles.

I wonder:

I have an LNB pointing and recieving 5W. I know that Amos 1/2 is at 4W.
If I can lucky then I might be able to receive this on the same LNB.

How do I configure this. LNB1/ 5W is configured to switch 1 on the DisEq switch. Should I configure 4W also on LNB1 as a seperate satellite as well? I would have thought so.

Receiver is an Echostar AD3000.

Don't worry - its academic really because I cannot receive the beams from Amos down here!

I am able to receive Amos 4W and 5W with the same LNB.
There are no Ku band FTA channels on the wide beam from 5W so this doesn't help.
The only channels I got are from the Phillipines ABS-CBN on 12711 H, encrypted in Irdeto.

On the Echostar you have to put both satellites on one port. lnb 1 for 5W on port1 and lnb2 for 4W also on port1. This way you'll obtain the two listings although you are using the same port.
All the best.

Amos has also a European beam.
Did you check the footprints of this beam?
Just try to input the frequency, polarization, FEC and SR of one of the transponders and see if you receive anything.
Funny thing is, I am not able to receive this beam.

Yes, it does have a beam over europe, but lyngsat puts me at about 2000km away from the edge of the 42dB bit, and that is rated for 120cm. My 60cm is good but won't do magic. At least I know how to do this for other birds. Cheers all.

OK. If your profile and system has shown the dish size as 60 cm, then I wouldn't have suggested this.
Please update your profile. It will only take few minutes. :)

No profile update requitred: It states a "Wavefrontier T55", which is about a 60cm dish.
