Hi guys, new member with a perplexing problem!

Basically, me and my auntie both have the same box, and I usually help her out when hers goes awry, only this one has me confused!

Her dream box, in her daughters room, suddenly stopped working, lost all channels free and other. I reflashed it to commando 15 and was all working fine at my house so I shipped it back to her and she plugged it in and nothing, wouldn't get past the loading screen!

So I took the box back to my house, plugged it in and it worked straight away, first time! All I plugged in was the power cable and the scart lead, at both houses and nothing worked at hers, but was fine at mine.

Now i'm completely confused as what this might be? Any ideas welcome!!

She has a dodgy power/scart lead perhaps?

Faulty power can make the box show no signal when it is failing (even if the box looks to be booting/loading)

Take your box and power supply to hers and try them both there (mark your power supply before you swap out), try your box and the power supply too and it should eliminate or confirm faulty cables/LNB, scart and power all at the same time

I would go for failing power supply or, presumably, cabling is sound, no water ingress, perhaps it is a failed LNB? They can give strange symptoms on bootup

Thanks for your help guys, i'll try a new power cable this weekend and see what happens
