Connect DM500s to Sky+ HD box via LNB out or Loop

Hi All,

Have a question for you more knowledgeable guys on here.

I currently have Shy+HD (fixed standard shy dish) and have ordered a DM500S.

If I put my Shy card (with HD sub) into the DM500, will it send a decrypted signal back to the Shy box though the LNB output?

I know only one box can control the LNB it is connected too so I was thinking of turning off power to the LNB on the Shy box (in the installer menu) so the DM has control of the LNB (if possible).

Hope that all makes sense?!?!?!:confused:
 
No it wont send a decrypted signal just a raw signal

Any idea how I could send a decrypted signal to the shy box from the dm500?
 
As far as I'm aware that is impossible.
 
It's not possible. The sky receiver will only clear channels with the sky card in the box.
