I have a sky mini dish installed in 2005 with two cables running from it. ( I no longer subscribe to sky and the skybox does not work) I would like to connect a Logik HD Ready Digital LCD TV to the satellite. What do I need to get up and running with HD. I presume I need a Free Sat box ,does only one cable need to be connected to it, if so can I run another Freesat box off the other cable. If I purchased a FreeSat box with a recording facility do both cables need to be connected to the box. Any advice of the best FreeSat boxes would be appreciated
Thanks

Depends on the box. Humax ones are highly regarded. With two cables you can connect two boxes but if you want to record one program while watching another, you'll need to connect both cables.

if 2 cables are running from the dish it will have a quad lnb on it so if you like you could have a freesat recorder as your main box with 2 downleads and you then have 2 spare ports for a second freesat recorder for the bedroom ect or 2 single cheap sd freesat boxs to 2 other rooms requiring 1 downlead each. you would of course have to hire an installer to run the extra downleads for you or get some cable/clips ect and do the job yourself. advice on freesat boxs the humax range seem to be the best but are not cheap but for second boxs you can get sd versions like the bush ect for about £30
