Controling SkyDigibox from the computer

Hi

On The back of the SKy digibox there is a serial connection. Is there a program that will allow me to controll the sky though my computer?

My sky box is in the study and my computer is always on.

If it can't be done does anyone know of a piece of hardware that has an infra-red output so that you can turn your computer into a programable remote controle?

Hi, you could also try a philips pronto remote. It has a timer function, but then again so do the digiboxes so really you want to do something with an external piece of equipment what the box can do on its own already.
