convert from TS to AVI and choosing the language

I recorded a movie which was both in Deutsch and English when I transfer the movie to the hard disk and convert it to AVI format I get the Deutsch language , my question is how to convert to AVI format and keep the English language instead of the Deutsch .

Firstly I have no idea whether the recording actually grabs both streamed audio or just the selected one. If it does grab both then you're gonna have to demux the TS to extract both audio tracks. Then remux it using the one you want. Assuming you're a windows user the only thing I can suggest is TmpGenc . check it out and see if its any use to you.

Being a mac user I'd use Mpegstreamclip and Visual Hub probably.
 
The recording has all audio channels recorded in the .ts file.
A very nice program for converting .ts files to DVD is DVR Studio. You can download a trial version. Unfortunately it is a commercial program, so to keep using it you have to buy it.
I have not tried it, but I had a quick look at VLC and it looks like it should be able to do the conversion for you as well - it does know about the audio tracks.

Thank you for your reply , I am a Mac user can you please tell me what to do exactly in order to get a clean HD since the recording was from an HD channel with the English audio.

ok the solution was easier then what i thought using the MPEG Stremclip , after loading the file and choosig the Language I want to delete , I go to Edit , Delete Audio Track and then convert to get rid of the undesired audio, when it is done it is in English , thank you for your help now I am working on converting the file to work on Apple TV, will update
