Copying From Sky+ To Pc

Hi there - another newbie here

I was wondering whether anyone knew if it was possible or had successfully copied programmes recorded on their Sky+ to their PC?

From the research I have conducted so far - it would appear that this is possible, but the quality may not be as good

Can anyone help me??

I was also wondering if that was possible - maybe by using an external HD.
The Western Digital WDXF2500JBRNE (250 G I ordered should arrive soon - hopefully via firewire or something like that a copy is possible. Did your research say something about that?

Dave cam i use your product to record from my normal skybox? since i use digital satellite via hotbird but would love to record some sky digital channels in almost digital quality too. Also what filesystem does skyplus use?
