My Satellite Setup
LG43UH661V with region 2 sky dish
My Location
Leek, Staffs
The three poles are from left to right 13' , 19' and 28' , I'm looking at getting a 2.4m this Summer if I can get one at the right price, many Brits heading back to Blighty so I may be lucky.

Though the stick on the left is 28E innit?
 
Thanks - It was done on a very modest budget. The metal rod on the left as you look at the pic is Hotbirds 13', the middle sun umbrella pole is Astra 1 @ 19' and the piece of 2X1 on the right is Astra 2AB&C no D with this size dish, 2.4m seems to be the minimum in Corfu for 2D reception and then they have to go 'with wings' in some parts of the Island.

Left to right from you or as shown in the picture?

I would of thought focal being 19e and 28e & 13e other way as the dish acts as a mirror image.
 
I think you miss the point, I have one twin LNB and manually swing the dish to point directly at the relevant satellite(using the poles as a guide), it works for me. Tell me I'm not losing the plot.

I see, you are using the three poles as a guide to where the satellites are located. Myself and Robbo may have got the wrong end of the stick, (no pun intended).
It's just what with the thread title multisat, it was the first thing that poped into my head. well it is late, lol :)

Got it now. Yes wrong end of the parasol stick for me too. LOL

Putting a couple of extra LNBs on sticks on the other side would work too I would have thought, save having to twiddle the dish round. The positions would be mirror image of the current stick locations, but you'd have to fork out for some more poles.:-rofl2
 
And the clue was in the title 'Manual' , sorry to cause such corfusion!

Jimmy for Astra 2D better ask some local to be sure about the 2.40m. Don't expect to receive any Verticals and even the Horizontals could be on the limit on this size. It's extremely important to choose a high quality dish. Famaval (called Aris in Greece) is the first choice for cheap big (230cm) dishes and these are the only ones that can be expanded to 310cm with wings but i would recommend searching for hotels/bars that do have running 2D reception to guarantee the 24h reception of all your wished frequencies in advance and find out the manufacturer of the dish at least. In Kavos 2 years ago i've had seen plenty of 2.40m and at least 2 3m solid dishes. I've uploaded some photos in this rar file here: _http://www.MegaShare.com/708757
 
Thanks for the heads up Deepbluesky, I'm driving down to Corfu on Tuesday arriving Saturday. I know a few expats who have big dishes that get 2D 24/7 H & V, I'll do a bit of research before making any purchase.

I'm a bit concerned about my sky card not functioning when I get there, I don't know what I'd do without my daily ogling of Rachel on Countdown, that would make a big dish a must!

You're welcome Jimmy. It's interesting that even Verticals can be received on Corfu. Had heard some years before that 3.70m are necessary for those. Please keep us informed what you will find out.

Drive carefully. It's quite a distance from the UK to Ancona.
