I had tried version 1.0.2.118 when it came out, but still couldn't get it to change the LO in KA Inverto option.

I'll try your version if I may Chris, could you send me a PM too please?
Just sent you a pm

Something that @Vipersan said, can you try scanning Astra 19.2E with the blscan2 box ticked. And if possible please post you scan?

That's the scan I get Chris with the TBS6983. My Skystar card's on the other PC, I'll try that later and post both results.

Whoops. Forgot to connect the BBC.

No idea what I'm getting here with the TBS 6983.

Well at least it scans correctly over the range with the Skystar pci card, but since I swopped LNB's from the Norsat to the SL3 in the dark, I haven't adjusted for max signal in H or V. Will have to wait until tomorrow.

Hmm ..
I dont see any of those No Locked signals on your scans Llew ..
So..Perhaps it is that background # crap which aint in evidence at your location..
Hopefully I'll get mine up and running tomorrow and see what I get..
cheers

Yes it's clean enough, but I'll need to check properly tomorrow when I get the LNB set up for best signal H/V.

I do have a suspicious mast or two in view over at the railway depot across the way, but I haven't had anything obvious come up on my scans.

I'll check with the Promax to see if there's any interference here, but I can't recall seeing anything like you or Chris seem to suffer.

A scan with a better aligned SL3-01 doesn't show anything untoward around the Newsnet frequencies. Just the usual noise over the spectrum.
I notice that although 18556V shows as unlocked in the scan, it's perfectly lockable at 12dB usually.

Promax analyser the same, just a beacon frequency from one of the 19.2 birds (18503 to the right).

Extremely windy and very wet here this morning ...
So whats new ..
So I got the latest CS version running and did a quick scan..
Signal levels obviously down across the board due to weather ..but was half expecting to see more of those crappy signals than I did..
There are however 3 signals in the 18557 region ..
One of which would be the newsroom feed (unlocked) ..and 2 of those unlocked signals 18562 and 18569 more or less in the exact same region ..
Thoughts ?
I'll try this again ..when the wind drops and the rain stops.

Great, thanks for this version of Crazyscan , it works well with the BBC and 6983.

Just made a test between SL3 and XMW DRO and the result is not so bad for the SL3 !
PS: same antenna and weather conditions (not good)

Yes, Crazyscan v88. Won't work with the TBS 6983 though, only cards like the TBS 6925/5925 and Skystar Xpress HD.

Llew,

Would you please have a link to the v88. version of CrazyScan?
Also, do you know if I need any special version of other files such as streamreader?

Thx

Hi,

I have just noticed there is a CrazyScan2 version as well as a CrazyScan version. Would anyone please be able to tell me what the differences are between these versions? Also, are both these OK for Ka Band?

Thx

Crazyscan2 is for DVB-T/C cards.

There's a later version of Crazyscan which we are now using for the SL3 LNB. Drop Chris1979 a PM for his link to the version, I'm sure he will kindly oblige.

I am planning to use CrazyScan with either a Nortel LNB or an XMW LNB and not use the SL3
Is the version you are using now OK for the Nortel and XMW LNB's?

Thx
