Another forum has reported an updated version of CS is available.

I checked CS sourcefoxxe site & a new version 109 is out as of 9/13. Not yet posted @ Rick's.
readme says "Additional modes for optional transponder info - SNR (Link Margin)"
 
Link margin, that's what I quietly hoped for in Crazyscan!
Though it's only available in the transponders list exports, or as a tooltip in the constellation popup.
Not (yet) in the main scan window...
 
Just out of curiosity Llew ..
If you manage to get any version of Crazyscan later than the one I call 'Special' v 10188 to correctly scan the SL3 Ka band A ..let me know.
As you know this requires a reverse scan live the Inverto Ka ..but with defineable scale parameters..(due to the IF reversing effect of scanning fequencies below the local osc)
Start and End frequency ...and customiseable Local osc frequency.
Crazycat kindly modified 10188 to allow this ..but looks to have been dropped afterwards.
Thus I have to keep at least 2 Crazyscan versions on my desktop.
..and lose any later release benefits when using the SL3 as a result.

Just seen this after our posts in the KA section.The modified version is the one I need, and you're sending me I think.
Don't know of any later ones with that mod - yet.

Hi VS,

look like you miss my PM year ago - specific rules for Ka-band LNB's integrated in StreamReaderEX-BDA 1.1.0.1162+ and CrazyScan 1.0.1.90+.
Just need set LNBStk params in streamreader.ini (LNBStk=20000 in your case).
 
Just noticed the extra LNBStk option in my version 1.0.1.94. Changed to 20000 and uncommented.

VS's fix is fine on 1.0.1.88, but that option will help for succeeding versions.

Just tried downloading what I assume is 10194 Llew ..but can't get it running ..
Any chance you could email me your 10194 directory ?
Bare bones will do ...including any changes you made to the ini files and any file dependancies needed ..
I may well have one that's incompatible.

You're right. Only tried it with upper band frequencies (XMW). No go with the SL3 LO using KA Inverto option. So adding LNBStk 20000 is pointless for our purposes.
Sorry for misleading you VS. Back to your 10188 fix.

Described features implemented for TBS 6925/5925/6983, but not tested :) Now i have only 5980 and try test 5925 on remote machine - look like MODCODE selection not work.

100% work with Omicom S2 (with recent debug driver) and some my experimental CrazyBDA driver for many china usb dvb devices (tested Eumetcast S2 reception with 5980, 5925).

And this driver supported in latest StreamReaderEx-BDA with direct hwcontrol mode (including lock LED control and avoid original Prof/TBS driver hangs and BSODS). + Enable support for some old exotic devices like TeVii S630 (Zarlink chips) and TBS QBox (5910) + Prof 1100 (STB6000/STV0288 based).

Hello CrazyCat,
I cannot get your CrazyBDA driver to work with TBS QBox2 (USB) - I have installed certificates (via batch file), but always get 'error code 10' (device cannot start). This is on Win7 x64 sp1. I have tried another image which has not 'seen' TBS QBOX2 drivers.
Is there any test or windbg info which could help diagnose the problem? I would love to get Crazyscan working with this (old) device.
 
I think I can answer the question myself...
I have a USB device which identifies itself as a TBS 5928.
The box physically has the words "QBOX-S2" on it, but the packaging says "QBOX2".
The TBS Windows QBOX2 2.0.4.7 driver supports both QBOX2 (5920) and QBOX-S2 (5928)!! (Check .INF file)
But, I have seen an old post of yours which says that the 5928 has a chipset which can't do hardware blindscan :-(
So I guess I can't use Crazyscan with this device??

I miss my TBS5925, but I found out that they have no LNB short circuit protection...
 
5928 based on Conexant CX24118/24116 device. Not supported.
 
I have tbs card 6925
not success to get lock tp on 23.5e
why snr it 0
only see gain high
it problem bda ?
