Hi,
After a conversation last night with another expat I am a bit confused . So could someone please tell me which satellite are we using here to receive Sky TV.
That'll be Astra2 / EuroBird at 28.5e.
I am fairly sure we have threads on dish size required but, there are some new developments in regards to Astra2 UK beam reception (for larger dish users); and we will all know more in the next few months.
Hi,

Here in Crete we mostly get Astra's 2B north and south beams, Astra's 2A south beam and Eutelsat's 28A steerable beam. Other beams need much larger dishes than 1.10 - 1.30 m.
But what changes will it make? Also when is Astra 2f meant to be coming on line ? Or do we have to wait until this happens as it is all guesswork at the moment.
No one can tell what the exact changes will be, although the footprints of Astra 2F do not give much hope for us here in Crete (I guess it is better to hold our horses, any positive surpise will be welcomed!). Anyway, we will have to wait, there is no way to predict those changes...
