cs server and wifi!!

any 1 know if this works ok?

as would like to put pc in my workshop (outhouse) but only real way is wifi!

would this impair the ecm speeds much? etc etc

thought id ask before i go out and buy a wifi card for the pc

I have a DM800 using CS via Wifi. I'm using a Belkin G+ wireless router for my wifi and a Linksys WET54G wireless bridge for the Dreambox. The only problems I have are with the Spanish Canal+ channels on 19.2 which freeze occasionally. Everything else is ok, even Sky using NDS. I think the freezing issues are down to the Belkin wireless router which I want to replace but haven't got around to yet.

I too use my DM800 over my WLAN. I have a USB dongle which I picked up for about a tenner. I did want to use homeplugs but I've run out of electrical sockets due to the number of devices scattered all around my TV.

I get occasional stuttering using c/s via WLAN, but I think it's due to the server I connect to rather than my method of connecting to the network.

However, my Access Point is in the same room as my DreamBox. If your's are separated and your signal isn't very strong then you may get different results.

My own server runs on an Acer Aspire Revo powered by an intel Atom (dirt cheap on the electricity!).

Even the Dreamboxes are on wireless and my ECMs are down in the 200s. I think it;s all to do with your internet connection and the signal strength of anything connected. I do get freezes, but mainly when the weather is bad and the signal quality drops away as the router is far from the server.
