Curry’s Recall Logik Tumble Dryers due to Fire Risk

IMG_1001.JPG

What’s the problem?

We have discovered that the heating element in a small batch of Logik LVD7W15 tumble dryers, manufactured between March and April 2016 may pose a safety hazard.

The heating element can overheat and may lead to a fire.

How are we making our customers aware of the problem?

Although this risk is very small as a responsible manufacturer, we’re contacting customers to make them aware and check if their product is affected. Customers are being contacted directly by email or letter in the first instance. We do not expect any media campaign will be necessary.

How are we going to resolve the problem?

Where we identify an affected product we will arrange for a technician to visit the customer, in order to change the heating element free of charge.

In the few cases where for whatever reason we cannot carry out the heater element replacement and need to arrange an exchange, this will be done via Sheffield.

What our customers need to do?

Until the product is confirmed as not at risk customers should STOP using your tumble dryer immediately. Switch it off and unplug at the mains.

Please contact us as soon as you can by calling Knowhow on 0344 561 6202

Lines are open Mon-Fri 9am-8pm, Sat 9am-6pm and Sun 10am-5pm.
Calls are charged at local rates.

If you call for the customer you’ll need the:

  • serial number of the tumble dryer (it’s on the inside of the door or on the rating label on the back of the tumble dryer)
  • post code at time of purchase
Logik is a brand name of DSG Retail Ltd. 1 Portal Way, London, W3 6RS, registered in England No 504877
