dad 6 on 15 w great latenight feed of nbc no more picture freezing.however no good for video copying playback garbled and distorted as if it were copy protected,which is a pain unless you are a real late night owl.If anybody else has seen this or has any advice would appreciate it.Its on 15 w 11532 h. 3198,thanks again

It's NTSC so a normal British VCR won't tape it properly. Also best if your receiver user settings can switch from PAL to NTSC.

I think DVD recorders can record NTSC.Or a sat receiver with a H/D.

If you can watch it OK then somewhere along the line there is NTSC to PAL conversion going on.

Have a check in the settings for your receiver, VCR and TV.

I take it it was the same TV you have used throughout?

yes same set up going to try a ntsc tape i have again

i have a feeling that while i can view ntsc signal it is not possible to record it.

British VCR's can sometimes play an NTSC tape but not record an NTSC signal.
On my old Tv I got the NTSC feed but the picture was shaky and pixellating.With my present Tv it can play NTSC fine especially if I set the satellite receiver to NTSC.
