Hello
I have a dreambox 500-s
I try to download data but I can not
On my dreambox web interface I find data services
but I can not access or view these data
Can you help me ???? what should I do??

Wnat data is it that you are trying to look at?

I try to look at all type of data : JPEG, MPEG, BMP, MP3, MP4....

I know it's possible, but I don't know how can i do it ?!

You need to use ftp to get the data from your box. You can use the likes of Cuteftp, flashfxp or something along those lines.

You could also use DCC too. Google "Dreambox control center" and you will find.

You will also need to know the root password to access the box. If you don't know the boxes root password, its game over.

You can also download channel lists etc etc by using Dreamboxedit. You will also find that by using google.

Hello,
I used DCC and dreambox edit to add the file satellite.xml and update my channel list
I can access my dreambox : root, Password: dreambox
I made a mount to the hard drive of my pc
but it still does not work!!
I don't know what's the problem ?!!
 
Are you trying to download satellite broadband using your Dreambox (data services on the dm)? I know you can use a PCI card to sniff out pictures/movies/files that satellite broadband customers are downloading but I`ve never heard of it being possible on a Dreambox

Or are you trying to load/download content to/from the Dreambox that you want to watch on your TV or content you have recorded?

Yes i try to download satellite broadband using my Dreambox,

We can use PCI card+ sortware, but i want to try with my dreambox
 
I suspect you are on your own with this - cant remember anyone here ever trying such a thing.

I very much doubt you are going to get anything particularly interesting out of it.

However if you do get it working please let us know :)
