Default Chanells on FTV configuration

My Satellite Setup
Small Sky dish + Pace box. Using this to view FTV channels only
Using HP Pavillion running Windows 7, Explorer 8

I am presently using my Sky setup simply to view the FTV channels, rather than subscribing to Sky, I do not have any Sky card inserted. This has worked perfectly well up to now.
I recently went away on holiday and turned off my TV etc at the mains. On return I switched it all on again and now have different channels on BBC1 and ITV1. BBC used to give me BBC SE, I live in East Sussex - so correct area, and ITV gave me ITV London. I now have BBC London and ITV West.
Why is this and can I re-program them in any way?
 
Pull the plug out. Leave it 5 minutes or so. Stick a card in (any card will do - even a tesco card). With a bit of luck the local defaults will reload when you put the plug back in.

Sounds odd but its worked in the past.
