I'm currently putting a fortec star box in my bedroom. I have a diablo cam but not sure how to activate it. Can anyone help me with this please

You need a Cas programmer to load the latest Underworld software.
What version of the Diablo Cam do you have, the light, the Wi Fi, or the wireless and is it a Diablo 2.3 or an older 2.2 version?
Do you have a Cas programmer?

Its a 2.3. I haven't got any software. Once I get this software what d I need to do. As far as I'm aware the person I got the Cm from had already programmed this in.

Even if the person had already loaded the latest Underworld fil you will still require a Cas programmer for future underworld updates and new data bin file updates.
At present you can manually add the keys for Digi TV.
Get the latest keys.
Go into the Cam Menu and the Configuration folder and turn N2 AU OFF, if it's already off, ensure Emulators is ON and exit the configuration folder.
Enter the following sections:
Keys
List Keys Edit
Nagravision 2
Digi TV
Key 86 or Key 96, whichever requires updating, (key 86= key 00, key 96 = key 01)
Enter the key and select which method you prefer to use to update the keys.
Hexadecimal or Decimal.
Enter the new keys and exit.
Digi TV should now open.

tried what mickha said but im not sure which line to insert the key as ive a tm 5400+, when i go in n2 then find digitv key press ok to change theres a list of bout 9 keys, is it the first line or second it looks like, and do i have to put n2 au back on

It sounds like your receiver is patched and you're in that menu system. To get to the Diablo Cam menu you have to find the Cams menu in your receiver, look for Underworld 151, and then enter the menus:
Keys
List Keys Edit
Nagravsion 2
Digi TV
key 86 (Key 00) or key 96 (key 01) depending which needs to be updated.
You should then only see 2 lines of keys, just press enter, or OK, on your remote control and you the get the options of entering the new keys using Hexadecimal or Decimal.
You have to leave N2 AU OFF as it no longer works and will alter the keys you have just updated.

thanks micka for the advice, loaded keys into cam but seems that its only clearing conax on digitv at moment , nagra still scrambled any ideas

Digi TV isn't encrypted using Conax only Nagra 2 and Nagra 3, do you mean that you're only clearing Canal Digital, which is Conax encrypted, on 1 West?

The last key change was on the 31/12/08 and was key 00 (key 86), are you imputting the latest keys?
I have uploaded the latest keys to sendspace for you to try.

ive checked my satellite installation and my sats on thor 2/3, on my blind search ive got both coax and nagra, normally watch footy on canal+ on conax, but ive also watched it on sport club rom,hun etc which is nagra but ive lost all nagra and just clearing conax channels

As mentioned Digi TV knocked out the AU (Auto Update) facility in both Cams and patched receivers.
There is now a new patch available for the Technomate 5000 series receivers which reports to have fixed the problem.
You can either update the patch on your receiver, or turn off the patch in your receiver and update the keys in the Diablo Cam.
Before updating the keys in your Diablo Cam you must go into the Configuration folder and turn OFF N2 AU, and leave it turned off.
The download the keys from sendspace and manually insert them as described, or download the latest Diablo keys bin file and replace the old one using your Cas programmer.

ok, ive everything open, inserted the key as you described, rebooted and then done a blind scan ang got all channels open for now. by the way i tried to patch my receiver and loade new soft cam as well., is that suppose to open all channels without a cam, and how do you turn the patch off tm 5400 usb

Now that you have the channels open I've moved this thread to the correct section.
You turn the patch off on older Technomate receivers by entering the menu, System Information and entering 2004 using your remote control, but this was for the 1000 series so I'm not sure if it's the same for the 5000 series.
