for what is the diablo base station needed,in the wireless version,to boost up the signal,is it included in the wirless diablo set,or must i purchase,seperatly?

The base station is an essential part of the wireless cam, to make the most of its potential, to share a card and to update the cam, via your computer.
The wireless cam can be used without the base unit, and then works like the light cam, the base can connect to up to 6 wireless cams.
For full information, on the wireless cam and base unit, download the manual from diablocam.com, click on download link and download the manual in the appropriate language.

I don't know which receiver you have but there is known problems with some Echostars and CAID's files.
There is a special Echo CAID you can load, but first try altering the CAID to Astra 1, just to see if that works, go into configuration, CAID's and select Astra 1.

The problem persist with configuration Astra_1 . My receiver is a Hyunday Hyd Dc-300 CI.I had any problem with the Jokercam.
Where can I find special CAID (for Echo), We can do last test with this file.

I have uploaded Kuky's custom CAID, for the Echostar, on sendspace:

Once you have unzipped it, you need to place it in your Diablo Cams CAID folder.
Insert your Diablo Cam in your Cas programmer.
Start up you CIS 8.2 software and open the Diablo Cam window.
Click on the Cam File System tab, and click Connect.
Now copy the Echo3.xml into the CAID folder.
You can then select this CAID, using you receiver, in the normal way.
If this doesn't work I'm afraid you will need to test your Cam in another receiver, to see if there is a compatibility issue or you have a faulty cam.
Try your receivers manufacturers web site to see if there is a firmware update for your receiver.

today,i got the diabolo cam wireless,but only the cam,and no 2. conector,to watch it on other reveiver@ the same time,is for that the diablo base station or a 2.cam nesercary?
or maybe somepart missing in my ebay auktion that normaly should included?
the lights are now always blinking,and the switching time,takes now much longer,between channels,with the wireless version!
the wirless black part,of the modul,blocks the ci slot ,does anyone have more information ,about the wireless version?

Only one Stealth file at a time, this is the cams firmware and the last stealth you load will overwrite the others.

Those are the two main cams, at the moment, as both open a lot of channels.
Both are multi cams, from different suppliers, so have different support. The Dragon cam is a lot older than the Diablo, and the Diablo currently has more support, but recently the Dragon has released new files, which means it is catching up to the Diablo, but the Diablo is still just in front.
The Dragon can currently open the following packages:
Digital + 19E and 30W
Premiere 19E
TPS 13E
SRG Swiss 13E
Digi TV 1W
and a few other channels.
The Diablo can also open these channels and a few others.

Hi slimsim,
Manually editing keys (rough guide)
Select common interface in your receivers menu to get to the stealth menu.
Select the keys option,
Select your current providers ID from the keylist (D+004101) highlight the keys you wish to update (00 or 01) and select ok to edit. Select hex or dec depending on the key format you are using,once you have entered your keys exit back to main screen.
I haven't got a receiver with a cam slot handy atm so these instructions are a rough guide from memory, but should give you the general idea.

First post (newbie of course) and first question already. I have spent I don't know how many hours reading loads of threads and posts but I still cannot find the answer. The post above is what was closer to the answerI am looking for but I need a bit more help so I would appreciate any advice.
I have just bought a Diablo light, it worked well for 1 day but after that it stopped working properly, for example the whole Digital+ is not clear anymore. I am connected to Astra 19.2E and have a Technomate 7750 receiver and Stealth 2.16. I don't have a Cas 3 or other programmer and I am trying to update the keys manually. I have found the menu and the section to edit the keys BUT I don't know what codes or numbers to enter. I have downloaded the key bin files for Diablo but I don't know how to decipher them. I have also downloaded the software to convert the keys but there is definitely one step that I am missing. What should I do?
Another question, at the moment I can get the full Premiere package but no other. What other channels packages should I be able to clear and what should I do to unscramble them?

Hi potito,
to get the most from your Cam you really need a Cas 3 programmer, a Cas 2 also works, but a Cas 3 plus, for around £45, will suit most of your future needs.
D+ was AU, Auto Updating, on Stealth 216 and 217, until D+ fought back and stopped AU on all Cams, and receivers.
Now the problem is that after you enter the keys on Stealth 217, and probably Stelath 216, although I haven't tried it, the Cam attempts to Auto Update, from the signal being sent by D+, and knocks out the keys, so an earlier version of the Stealth firmware is needed, and to load this requires a Cas programmer.
You can manually insert the keys, in the Diablo cam, in 2 ways:
1 Hex method, Hex is a combination of 2 components, either numbers 0-9 and/or letters A-E.
2 Dec method, 3 numbers that when entered produce the hex value.
To enter the new keys you go into the menu and select keys.
Enter List keys Edit.
Enter the correct encryption, for D+ this is Nagravision 2.
Enter 4101 D+, you will see 2 entries for D+ as the package split into 2 parts, but the main component is 4101.
There are 2 entries
Key id 86 which equates to key 00
Key id 96 which equates to Key 01.
Choose which key requires changing and then select the key.
You will be given 2 options for entering the keys, Hex or Dec, Dec is quicker but you can use either option.

Other packages you can currently open, with Stealth 216, are:
TPS on hotbird 13E, you need to leave your receiver tuned to France 4, or other channel using the same frequency, and once it clears you can move to any of the other channels in the package,
SRG 13E
Digi TV 1W
There are other channels available but these are the main packages.

Thank you Mickha, I have been in the forum less than a day but most of the posts I have read are yours, there must be a reason for that!!!
Anyway I am much closer to changing the keys but I still don't know what numbers/letter to enter. Let's use your example and that I decide to go for the Dec. First of all how do I know which keys requires change? Then where do I find the specific "new" key to enter? What does it mean that key 86 equates to 00 and 96 to 01?
Sorry for my questions that may sound stupid but I am really lost there and apparently need foolproof instructions.

No keys are posted on this forum, but you will see links to sendspace, and other upload sites, that contain the latest keys.
If you click on the forums link, top left, if you can't see it click on the Home link first, then scroll down to The Links Section, you will find links, from other members, to where you can find keys.
The Cas 3 plus can be found for £45 - £55, depending on the satellite dealer you use.

Premiere Star AU (19,2E)
Cyfra+ (13E) (First fill in the correct keys for the current and next month)

For D+ AU we are all waiting for Stealth 2.18 (i hope)

Hi there ... i have a question cos my diablo cam is drivinging me crazy )(-red . i'm trying to upload showtime and ADD keys where it is suppose to be in the key.bin but my cam isn't reading it on any reciever . Can someone please assist me where is my mistake ?

Don't waste your time. Showtime and art keys do not work in the Diablo cam - Even when the keys are available.
