Diablo WiFi with Samsung CI ?

Hi,

I've just ordered a lovely Samsung UE40D8000 .. what experiences do users have with the B or C series (2009 / 2010) screens with the Diablo Wifi?

Do they actually work since I've read a ton of stuff about "CI+" and Diablo not working because it doesn't have a valid signed certificate.

If they work in the TV, would it be normal for the CAM to talk to a Dreambox on the LAN runing CCcam to get CWs? I'm in the UK, so I'm talking about Sky / NDS of course..

OK, thanks - does it make any difference if the source of codewords is a remote CS server rather than a local card, tho'?
 
Why would you want a cam if you were card sharing?
 
OCD, mate :)

I'm getting a shiny new telly so want as little clutter as possible around it. The Diablo wifi has a CS client built in, so I'd like to use that and get codewords from a Dreambox running CCCam in another room thus letting me use the DVB-S2 tuner built into the telly - one fewer HDMI cable / power supply / remote control.

I have no use for the smartcard reader in the Diablo .. I just want the wifi CCCam client :)
 
Wireless solutions for local sharing of cards dont work with NDS :-rofl2
 
Hi all, just wanted to follow up on this...

I was convinced my logic was sound so managed to pick up a Diablo Wi-Fi + CAS3+ programmer. I loaded Underworld 2.13, configured Wi-Fi and created an F: line for it on my DM800's CCCam.cfg ... the Samsung TV now works perfectly with all crypted channels. No bother at all.

Now if only I could import EPG to it.. :)

I got the same setup. Just bought a Samsung 46D8000 and was hoping to use it with a Diablo wifi card.
I have got an old Dreambox 7000 doo. Is it possible to us it and create a F line (Not farmiliar with F lines).
How come that you are able to use the Diablo Wifi with a CI+.

Please inlight me (step by step)

No step by step instructions allowed on this forum - only general info.

The reason for this is that step by step instructions would count as the forum helping to evade pay tv subscriptions and THAT could get the forum closed down if the pay tv security guys saw it - and we KNOW they monitor the hobby forums.

PM is restricted for new members - we had problems with spammers a while back.

You will get it in a few weeks time when you have made some more posts.

It can be turned on early in specific circumstances, but getting help to evade pay tv subscriptions is most definitely not one.
