RIP Diana

Actress Dame Diana Rigg, famous for roles including Emma Peel in TV series The Avengers and Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones, has died at the age of 82.

Her daughter, actress Rachael Stirling, said she died of cancer, after being diagnosed in March.

Oh gosh, that's very sad news indeed. She had been a heavy smoker in her time though.

RIP Diana.

Coming so soon after Honor Blackman as well.

Yes sad news indeed, I expect most of our generation remember her slick moves in her even slicker stylish clothing

R.I.P Diana

So sad, but as Topper says, she'll always be remembered for her Avengers role. RIP Diana...

A class above the present mediocre bunch of luvvies.

Obituary: Dame Diana Rigg
Dame Diana Rigg enjoyed a long and distinguished acting career on stage, in film and on television. The range of her roles was enormous, from serious drama to high camp.

She was the only Bond girl to get 007 to the altar. But for those of a certain generation, she will always be the desirable Emma Peel in The Avengers TV series.

That Fab lady can still be seen on TV - she is "Mrs Pumphrey" in the new remake of "All Creatures Great and Small" on Tuesday nights on Channel 5.

And in two more roles in films yet to be released.

R.I.P, Mrs Peel (and Mrs Pumphrey!):-clap
