Hi all,
Please can someone help me with this. I bought the receiver without a remote and then bought a remote but it doesn't seem to respond. I decided to try and update the firmware but using an rs232 cable I bought specially made for updating satellite boxes I seem to be unable to do it. Every time I try it just says failed. I changed the speed in device manager to 15200 the same as in the utility but when I try download nothing happens.
How can I test the serial connection to the receiver is even working? I have tried switching the box off and on again and no different.
