Hi all, my name is Darren, nice to talk 2 ya'll

I'm new to all this so apologies if I have opened a thread in the wrong place!

I run a skybox f3s and I'm having a few problems with
Receiving digi sport Hungary on Thor 0.8 west. I have a good reception, over 75% but every time I put the channel on, the box reboots. Other channels on the same satellite do not have this effect. Is the problem a poor signal, transponder issues, lnb probs or just my receiver? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

P.s box has latest firmware so don't believe it needs updating.

Sounds more like a faulty channel list, try deleting the offending channel and re-scanning it in.
Is it only htis channel that causes this problem?
Can you please post the channel details, if possible, frequency, polarity, S/R.

Digi Sport 1, and 2, Hungary are listed on 12643 V 27500.

Hi mickha, thanks for getting back to me. I checked the tp the other day and it is as you have suggested it should be.
I checked his on kingofsat also.

I do have the same problem with a few channels on 19.2e. For example c+ futbol does the same thing, reboots the box after the channel being on for at most a few minutes. But then sky sports Deutschland and canal plus sport, also on 19.2e, are absolutely fine, so the problem seems to be channel specific.
Not sure what this points to?

I will try updating the channel list and see if it helps.

Thanks
Darren

12643 MHz?

That could well be Interference from a DECT Phone ...................... Although the effect is normally just no Video/Audio rather than a reboot issue. Worth thinking about anyway as it'll only take minute to power down any DECT kit.

Hmmm... Indeed, defo worth trying!

Thanks

Is this one of those boxes that has the issue switching to the higher band. I'm not that up on the Sky Box.

Nano

Actually yes. There is a " No signal" fix for the F5.

But, like my DECT idea, these circumstance don't quite fit.
