Digital + / Taquilla channels - Mediaguard

Before everyone starts squealing about suddenly losing the Digital + & Taquilla channels - D+ are in the middle of changing their encryption to a variant of Nagravision. The first channels are already gone, the rest will follow in the next few days.

I have an official subscription to D+ , they recently swopped my black coloured SECA card for a BLUE Nagra2 card. I put the new card in my box and it spent about 15 minutes updating. I think it's added some firmware to my decoder box. The decoder box used to have a built in SECA cam, now I think it behaves line a NAGRA 2 CAM.

I m interested to know whether my official D+ card is married to my decoder box - ideally I d be able to remove it and put it in another decoder box so I could carry the card around and slot it in different decoder boxes (With Sky the card and the sky digibox are married and I think will only work together)

Does anyone know what I m on about? Better still does anyone know the answer to the question?

If you receive D+ via Astra, there should not be any problem in putting your new blue card in another decoder as long as that decoder is built with the appropriate cam. The card is not married to the decoder - I have tested my blue card in different decoders and it works.

If you receive D+ via Hispasat, that's another story as from the beginning, cards and decoders are married.

Aren't you confusing Real Madrid TV with TeleMadrid SAT - the latter has always been in the clear, but Real Madrid is scrambled on 19E AFAIK...
