hi just a theorectical Q 15 bedroom hotel digital freeview tvs in every room recieving all the freeview channels .now want to pipe a couple of sky channels to all the rooms but dont want to switch tvs from digital to analogue to pick them up can this be done. and are moden tvs going to always have a analogue tuner built in to them.
 
Most TVs have an anologue tuner as well at the moment, but they won't forever. There are some flat panel TVs however, that only have a digital tuner, so if that is what they have, they may be stuck.
 
would be nice if sky broadcasts a few of there cannels on freeview as it could become a problem .may be sky should be pushing built in sky tvs .this would over come the poblem .or maybe some one will come up with a gadget to inject sky as a digital signal that could be picked up on freeview.
 
I'm sure they will eventually, well at least on terrestrial digital, but not for a while.

A lot of Hotels now are running on CAT5 cable systems, then you can inject as many channels in as you like. :)

looked at one of your posts where u recomend a avi lynx shame they are so exspensive near on a grand for a 4 input 8 out .im sure a lot of people would use this system if it was half the price.but again thank u 4 making me aware of the cat 5 route .going to search the net for a cheaper version.
 
Global do a similar type of system, I think it's a little cheaper.
 
hi back again can hi definition. ie sky or blue ray be distributed using the avi lynx .or can i only use the av output on the equipment to connect to the matrix.
 
Not as far as I know, I'm pretty sure it is composite video only.
