Hi, does somebody know the exact length of those three feed arms of a CM 2.4m ? I got an old reflector with the feed arms missing... I'd like to make them myself. Thanks.

Measure your mirror precisely, enter data to program (for example Parabola4) and that will give you all needed dimensions for LNB position.

Thanks a lot for the tips, that software is really useful. The drawings in the manual are all for the Tx/Rx feed systems, so a bit difficult to use when you just want to mount a normal LNB bracket... so the length of the arms would be really helpful are all three define the exact position of the LNB.

I tried to find the position of the LNB using the programmes, however it seems impossible to measure the exact depth and deepest point of such a big dish... it would be really nice if someone with a 2.4 CM could measure how long those feed arms are...

Hi Pietlock,

I measured the feed arms from the inside edge of the dish to the bottom of the feed holder.

The two upper linkages are 198 cm, the bottom arm ist 141 cm. However, ther are two kinds of bottom arm: the one which looks like the one on the 1,8 m dish and the one I have got which is like a triangular shaped metal holder with a horizontal end plate. On the end plate is the feed holder. Which means that the feed itself is about 15 cm, maybe a bit more, over the feed plate.

I hope that will help you. If not: you are always welcome to have a look yourself since you dont live that far away from here.

Hold on I just looked. The dish I hve got is excatly the one from the PDF from a recent post.

Thanks/Danke you for your help. Seems like you have the professional variant, which can also carry a Tx/Rx device. The reflector is the same however. I have the semi-prof variant with the simple LNB support only ( I have the feed, just the arms are missing ). Got this thing "3rd" hand.... so measuring the exact position of the feed horn is better, so a visit is probably not a bad idea.

This is what my setup looks like. I could well imagine, that the side arms have the same length in both (RX/TX or TX only) and only the center piece including the feed clamp is different. Have a look:
