A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

As per the Formula E post last week, today is Le Mans on the same channel, just started.

Race starts at 3pm BST.

The Le Mans 24hr race is live on Eurosport 2 on SKy UK (UK SKY Channel 411 HD, and 869 SD), and thus is probably also on various Eurosport channels in other countries via other sats and possibly DTT.

With luck some of the clouds over there are coming here.

The new safety car procedures are spoiling a great race :(

I think it was the accidents (plural!) that spoilt it - the then-necessary safety car procedures not so much.

New rules this year means the safety car periods are much longer than previous years. Slow zones and full course yellows are much less disruptive.

Also some genius decided intermediate tyres weren't needed, which has just led to more incidents :-doh

Of course, that part of France never has inclement weather.

Almost 20 hours gone. Go go Ferrari!!

Done! Historic win by Ferrari after 58 years! Little bit faster than Toyota just before Hirakawa crash.
GREAT FERRARI!! Just put my flag out of the window.

You should go to the WEC race at Monza in July to celebrate B)

I was disappointed when the #38 Jota Porsche crashed out of the lead but it was still the best Le Mans I've seen for a long time.

So those rule changes didn't put you off watching then?

No. Hopefully they will have a post race meeting to discuss, for example, why it took nigh on an hour to remove the conked Toyota and go through the new procedures :-wow

Roll on Le Mans Classic from 29th June to 2nd July.

Much as the 24hrs is a motor racing icon, TBH I don't think I could "endure" that much "roundy roundy" - even at those speeds and with those sorts of "incidents" .:-rofl2

Now I'm confused, I thought "roundy roundy" was oval racing? :-confused

The French offering on L'Equipe had very little of the car/engine noises throughout. But well done to Ferrari, both Toyota and Cadillac could have been in top place with just the most subtle of changes to the car accessories.
